Jurying in Utah

I have just returned from Salt Lake City where I was invited by the Utah Arts Council to be a juror for the Statewide Annual Competition and Exhibition, which is scheduled to open October 17 at the Rio Gallery.  The quality and number of works submitted to the call made the process extremely enjoyable.  I departed for Salt Lake City a few days early, making an extended weekend with my wife and two month old son.  On Sunday we ventured up to Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty, so I thought I would share the view.  Apparently, as you can see from the image, my wife and I enjoyed the experience a bit more than our son!
