ASU Art Faculty Show opening soon!

ASU Art Professor of Printmaking Mary Hood

ASU Art Professor of Printmaking Mary Hood

I had the pleasure of meeting artist and ASU Professor Mary Hood as I walked through the gallery this morning. She was viewing her work that’s just been hung for the upcoming Art Faculty exhibition and we had a lovely chat. You can find more about Mary on the Herberger College website.

The exhibition opening reception is next Friday, October 17, 7pm – 9pm. It’s open to the public, it’s free, there’s free parking, there’s great art and there’s wine. Plus you get the added bonus of our other opening, the video installation by Nadia Hironaka, which has turned one gallery into a pseudo-abandoned drive-in theater. It’s black. And it’s cool. Really, what more could you ask for in one night?

Both exhibitions run through January 25, 2009, so you have plenty of time. But you’re missing a party if you don’t come on Friday. Just so you know.  :)
